Discover the Teachings
Driven by a desire to bring peace to as many people as possible, Thay and senior monks and lay teachers make their teachings freely available. You may find recordings, videos, and podcasts a convenient way to learn more about mindfulness, meditation, and universal principles for living a life of purpose and service to others.
Thich Nhat Hanh
Since half a century ago, when a young peace activist in war-torn Vietnam named Thich Nhat Hanh accepted an invitation from Cornell University to introduce Buddhist teachings to Western audiences, Thay has helped millions of people discover a path towards peace. Thay's teachings are known for their clarity, penetrating insight, and their engagement with the challenges of our time.
The following resources bring together key trainings, teachings, and communities of practice inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh.
One of Thay's most important teachings reminds us we are "interbeing," and that any notion we are living a separate, independent existence is an illusion that leads only to isolation and suffering. Recognizing that we part of a wider community--and contributing our energy to strengthening that community--is one of the keys of happiness. The following links help connect us to the greater community of which we're a part.
